Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Paper Fig collects when you visit our website or get in touch, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to reply to you and to create your stationery.
Who we are
Paper Fig is a stationery studio creating paper for weddings and celebrations. Paper Fig is a trading name of Melissa Goy, a sole trader based in England, at 66A McCall Close, London SW4 6PU. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at admin.paperfig@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, email address and, if you choose to share them, your Instagram handle, the occasion, event date and location, the stationery you’re interested in, guest numbers and any ideas or links you send us.
- Emails and messages: anything you send us directly by email or social media.
- Orders: when you commission stationery, the details needed to design, print and deliver it, such as names and wording for the stationery, a delivery address and payment records.
- Technical information: our hosting provider automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type when you visit, to keep the website secure and working.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
- To design, print and deliver your stationery, and to keep you updated along the way.
- To keep the records we are required to keep, for example for tax and accounting.
- To keep our website secure and running smoothly.
We use your information because you have asked us to do something for you (such as reply to an enquiry or make your stationery), because we have a legal obligation, or because it is in our legitimate interest to run our business well. We will never sell your information or send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share information with trusted services that help us run Paper Fig:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Resend, which delivers the enquiry form to our inbox.
- Google, which provides our email.
- Printers and couriers, who receive only what they need to produce and deliver your order.
- Etsy, if you buy through our Etsy shop. Etsy’s own privacy policy applies to those purchases.
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry doesn’t lead to an order, we delete it within 12 months. If you place an order, we keep the related records for six years so we can meet our tax and accounting obligations, and then delete them.
Cookies
Our website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are served from our own website rather than from a third party.
Showing our work
We love sharing the stationery we create on our website and social media. Unless you ask us not to, we may photograph and share your finished stationery. We won’t share private contact details such as home addresses, phone numbers or email addresses. Names may appear as part of the design, for example on place cards or invitations. If you’d like any particular details hidden, just let us know and we’ll blur or remove them before sharing. You can also ask us not to share your stationery at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email admin.paperfig@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
